It was a secret playspot for local paddlers before
hitting the world stage in 1991, hosting the first World Rodeo Championships.
In the last 2 decades it has been the venue for many Freestyle competitions although there have been no organised events in at least 5 years.
At long last the Rodeo is being revived. Those of you who remember the events o
f old will be pleased to hear that the format will in the most part, remain the same
. The familiar blend of a fun focussed informal competition on the famous Front Wave or Hole of Soul, followed by an evening of music and merriment. An all new concept of a Tidal Boater X has been added during the ebb tide (we think a world 1st), to keep you entertained throughout the day.
